Submer Technologies, leading Immersion Cooling Cleantech is delighted to announce a collaboration with CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research. CERN is one of the of the most important laboratories for particle physics in the world, located on the French-Swiss border, with its headquarters in Geneva.
The SmartPod, the cutting-edge Immersion Cooling solution by Submer, will be installed and tested at the LHCb (Large Hadron Collider beauty) experiment, one of the seven particle physics detector experiments collecting data at the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) accelerator at CERN. In particular, LHCb is an experiment set up to explore what happened after the Big Bang that allowed matter to survive and build the Universe we inhabit today.
“Our SmartPod aims at unprecedented compute densities in the confined space of the large hadron collider and gives CERN the possibility to evaluate different types of hardware behaviour in immersion cooling” says Daniel Pope, CEO and Co-Founder of Submer. “This strategic collaboration agreement with CERN marks a point in time for the acceptance of Immersion Cooling and the viability of our solution”.
The installation of Submer’s SmartPod will be completed at the beginning of September 2018.
Submer Technologies, the Cleantech company, designs, builds and installs the SmartPod, a liquid Immersion Cooling solution for Data Centers, Edge, AI, Deep Learning and blockchain applications. Set apart by its modular design, the SmartPod is the most practical, resilient, eco-friendly and highly-efficient Immersion Cooling solution.
