Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, BS degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration.
  • 2 - 5 years related job experience.
  • Proven working experience as purchasing manager, agent or officer.
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
  • A knack for negotiation and networking.
  • Ability to gather and analyse data and to work with figures.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Knowledge in Quality System and metrics to evaluate providers Qlty.

About the Role and the Candidate:

In this role, the successful candidate will become a key member of the Operations team. This is a great opportunity for the right individual to join a dynamic team to help shape what will certainly be a very cool future!

As a Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and services and managing vendors. The successful candidate will be able to perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals and find more profitable suppliers. The Purchase Manager will be responsible for:

  • Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses, improve effectiveness and monitor Providers Qlty.
  • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
  • Fulfill internal customers expectations from technical perspective.
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
  • Assess, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
  • Determine quantity, timing and quality of deliveries.
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
  • Deploy a Quality System to evaluate providers and maintain the system updated.

Other Skills

  • Fluent English a must, Spanish and other languages very valuable
  • Proactive, self-starter, able to communicate clearly internally and externally
  • Nice to have: Experience in Datacenter/HPC/Supercomputing arenas or products related to this sector.
