The OCP EMEA Summit 2025 will take place on April 29th and 30th in Dublin, Ireland. It will gather industry leaders and innovators in the field of open computing. We proudly participate and showcase our cutting-edge immersion cooling solutions during this year’s summit.
Submer’s Ongoing Commitment to the OCP Ecosystem
As a long-term member of the Open Compute Project (OCP), we remain dedicated to supporting OCP’s mission of designing and delivering efficient, scalable computing solutions. OCP is a rapidly expanding, global community of innovators committed to pushing the boundaries of open-source hardware design.
This year’s main theme for OCP EMEA Summit is Datacenter Sustainability, AI, Security & Data Protection, Power & Cooling and Deployments. Submer’s mission is to build Datacenters That Make Sense, which makes this an incredible opportunity for us to share our advancements with like-minded, forward-thinking individuals and companies in open IT ecosystem development.
As Submer recently announced, we have launched two new business units to power the future of AI and sustainable digital infrastructure, and thus expanded our teams by bringing on datacenter industry experts with deep experience in these areas. We are enthusiastic about this year’s OCP EMEA Summit theme, as our renewed focus perfectly aligns with it.
During Mobile World Congress earlier this year, Submer had the honor of hosting the OCP and its invited guests at our OCP-recognized Immersion Experience Center in Barcelona. There, we showcased the practical applications and transformative potential of immersion cooling technologies for next-generation infrastructure.
Immersion cooling solutions showcase at OCP EMEA Summit
At this year’s summit, we will present our SmartPod EVO, our Immersion Cooling Pod in action, alongside a live Immersion Cooling Demo.
- Visitors will experience firsthand how our solutions address the growing need for efficient thermal management in high-performance computing. The SmartPod EVO, along with Murata’s Powershelf, 2CRSi immersion-ready servers and Edgecore switch AS7326-56X with ORV3 tray will be on display at Murata’s booth (B7), a testament to our successful collaboration with our ecosystem partners.
- At Submer’s booth B8, we will feature a live demonstration of the High Temperature Immersion Cooling Demo featuring Intel and Micron, This demo showcases High-Temperature Immersion (HTI) cooling in high-performance computing by cooling two 500W Intel Granite Rapids CPUs with a 70ºC+ inlet fluid and targeted flow. HTI enhances energy efficiency, unlocks new heat reuse opportunities, and supports sustainable thermal management for demanding workloads.
Collaboration for European Digital Sovereignty: A Keynote Session by Submer and Openchip
Submer’s co-founder Daniel Pope and Cesc Guim, CEO of Openchip, will deliver a keynote at 10:44 AM on April 29th. The session will explore how open collaboration is enabling sovereign European sustainable infrastructure. From applications to physical infrastructure, this initiative aims to establish a European-centric approach that aligns with the region’s unique needs and priorities. More information about the event schedule can be found here.
OCP deployment, with Stellium Data Centers, Circle B, and OCP Ecosystem partners
Our commitment to advancing energy-efficient solutions extends beyond the OCP community. In October 2024, Submer, in collaboration with Stellium Datacenters and ExxonMobil, launched a joint initiative focused on developing energy-efficient, sustainable datacenter solutions. The project, currently in the proof-of-concept phase, integrates Submer’s immersion cooling technology into Stellium’s infrastructure to enhance performance, improve energy efficiency, and reduce carbon footprints. This collaboration aims to design innovative hardware solutions based on OCP principles, with a strong focus on sustainability and community-driven advancements in data center technology.
