In the agreement, Submer’s range of liquid cooling and edge-ready solutions will be resold by NBM Solutions throughout the UK.
The impact of the partnership
The partnership will allow Submer to continue with its growth within the U.K, an ever-growing crucial market segment. From a customer perspective, it gives the opportunity to purchase Submer’s industry-leading technology from a trusted partner with a distinguished reputation for providing bespoke, cost-effective solutions. As part of the reseller agreement, Submer’s complete portfolio of modular, Immersion-powered pods will be available to purchase from NBM Technology Solutions.
The argument for Immersion cooling is stronger than ever. The global datacenter industry is under intense pressure to become more sustainable, with many looking to replace their traditional methods of cooling which had previously been powered by air. As well as increasing efficiency and sustainability, datacenters require advanced cooling systems which are able to easily deal with the increase in power density. The argument is further strengthened by new guidelines released by the UK Government which have set the target of net-zero by 2050. Immersion cooling is the practice of submerging computer components (or full servers) in a thermally, but not electrically, conductive liquid (dielectric coolant). Immersion cooling offers datacenters the ability to keep up with the increasing demand for higher power density along with many other advantages such as a reduction in CO2 levels, power usage and better Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Additionally, liquid cooling offers protection from the surrounding environment which could damage the hardware.
