Today, SUBMER, a leading innovator in advanced immersion cooling solutions for Datacenters, Cloud and Edge computing unveiled its latest partnership with Ingram Micro, the world’s largest provider of information technology products and services with a focus on cloud, mobility, technology lifecycle, supply chain and technology solutions. In the collaboration, Ingram Micro will design a solution that will incorporate Submer’s innovative technology and offer the datacenter and IT industry the chance to purchase a highly-efficient datacenter in-a-box.
Catalyzed by an increased concern over the burden of datacenters and as a result, a number of key changes in European policy, the interest surrounding efficiency and sustainability for datacenters has increased significantly. Now, datacenters require advanced cooling systems which are able to easily deal with the increase in demand and power density. Immersion cooling is the practice of submerging computer components (or full servers) in a thermally, but not electrically, conductive liquid (dielectric coolant). Immersion cooling offers datacenters the ability to keep up with the increasing demand for higher power density, immersion cooling enables >100kW per rack, along with many other advantages such as an unprecedented reduction in CO2 levels and power usage, better Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and a reduction in OPEX costs.

Ingram Micro will be a key distributor of Submer’s immersion cooling technology and solutions in Europe and the Middle East.
Submer has built a range of immersion cooling modular solutions that empower users to effortlessly scale their operations while simultaneously saving space and energy and increasing compute capacity.
About the Solution
The solution will include the SmartPodX and SmartPodXL, two of Submer’s Pod technologies that have been designed both to adhere to the classic 19” standards or easily adapted to meet Open Compute (OCP) standards depending on customer needs. The SmartPod range is compact, with >100kW dissipation capacity and a 1.03 PUE. Accommodating 21” and/or 19” HW and a flexible busbar system supporting multi-zone 12v & 48v configurations.
Submer’s newest technology, the MicroPod will also be available as part of the solution. The MicroPod incorporates Submer’s industry-leading technologies with a compact, modular, plug-and-play, configuration that allows for fast deployment in any location, including direct sunlight and an easy plug-and-play installation with an unrivaled energy footprint.
In addition to this, customers will also have access to a range of services and support from Ingram Micro, including:
