What Makes Submer’s SmartCoolant So Smart?

Welcome to our Smart Coolant ebook, brought to you by our very own Chemical Engineer extraordinaire Peter Cooper (PhD).

Intro: the argument to adopt Immersion Cooling

As we usher in the third decade of the century, the case for adopting Immersion Cooling has never been stronger. As explained in our previous ebook The 3W’s of Immersion Cooling: What, Why & When!, Immersion Cooling affords end-users with a range of benefits including reducing 95% of electricity cooling costs, zero water consumption, and deployment in almost any location.

Immersion Cooling has been available since the early 1960’s, however, the adoption of the technology as a mainstream solution has remained relatively low until recently. The SmartCoolant is our goldilocks solution to the Immersion Cooling problem based on our hands-on experience designing immersion cooling systems.

About the Immersion Cooling technique

Immersion cooling is a technique in which computer components or full servers are submerged in a thermally, but not electrically, conductive liquid (dielectric coolant) allowing higher heat transfer performance than air and many other benefits.

What will you discover in our SmartCoolant eBook?

While the benefits of Immersion Cooling are clear, the decision on which liquid to choose may not be. In this ebook, we will analyze the best dielectric coolant for Immersion Cooling users. We outline some of the key concepts for Immersion Cooling fluids and how we used our hands-on experience with them to design our dielectric, proprietary coolant, the SmartCoolant.

Make the Smart choice for your datacenter

We will discuss each of the liquids to help you make the right decision for your datacenter, company or research project.

• Vegetable oils.
• Mineral oils.
• Fluorocarbons.
• Synthetic fluids (hydrocarbons).
